Paving the path for a cleaner environment, greener planet and sustainable future.

Cleantech from lab to market

Canada has bold plans for the clean technology sector, promising to lead the way both as a developer and as an exporter of cutting-edge clean technology. But we know there are challenges to getting your technology to market; budgetary, finding the right research talent, scaling operations, and navigating governmental regulations.

Cleantech innovation is projected to be worth $2.5 trillion globally by 2022.

Toward a Greener Canada

We have long been a pioneer in Canada’s cleantech ecosystem, and for more than 25 years, we’ve built strong research collaborations between industry and postsecondary institutions, from colleges to universities. With our specialized knowledge and connections, we support Canadian cleantech businesses and sustainability experts execute their vision at every stage of the innovation journey: from new product development to exploring disruptive technologies to commercialization. Discipline-agnostic, Mitacs supports short and long-term projects and creates a vital talent pipeline to maintain Canada’s position on the global stage.
