Research Security

Mitacs acknowledges the increasing importance of research security in Canada’s research and innovation ecosystem, as highlighted in the Government of Canada’s Research Security Policy Statement. Mitacs has developed a Research Security Plan, which was drafted based on consultations with Canadian research organizations and academic partners, and further updated based on feedback from Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada (ISED).

Mitacs reserves the right to:

• Decline, at any point, funding towards a proposed or ongoing project on the grounds of research security concerns
• Award funding conditional on additional research security requirements as appropriate
