As data bandwidth grows our customers are using advanced modulation techniques for fiber optic efficiency. Recovering the data from a modulated signal after signal impairment requires advance digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms that are able to adapt and cancel impairments in the network. Furthermore, forward error correction (FEC) could be used to improve error correction, enhance system reliability, and extend optical transmission distance. It can also reduce optical transmitter power and system costs. The project will develop intellectual property that will be implemented in field-programmable gate array (FPGA) or application-specific integrated circuit (ASIC) technology for customer deployment. Successful delivery of this project creates a compelling value proposition for Precise-ITC corporation to provide a complete solution for end-to-end high-speed data communications and expand our market share.
