Learn MoreVancouver, BC – John Hepburn, CEO of Mitacs, today issued the following statement:
“Mitacs continues to condemn Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine in the strongest terms. We fully support the Government of Canada’s principled decision to ask research granting agencies and the National Research Council to implement strict measures to prohibit funding for research collaborations that could further the interests of Vladimir Putin’s regime. Mitacs does not fund research collaborations in Russia or with Russian entities, but we will be vigilant and monitor and restrict any activities that could aid the regime or benefit the invasion of Ukraine.
“We stand with Ukraine and continue to look for ways to assist students, professors, partners, and other members of our community who are affected by this tragedy.”
