Vancouver, BC — The United States, the United Kingdom, and all countries in the European Union will be open to senior undergraduate and graduate students at Canadian universities for research exchanges through Mitacs, a national not-for-profit research and training organization.
Through a Mitacs Globalink Research Award university students can participate in a 12- to 24-week research project abroad, jointly supervised by faculty at a Canadian University and faculty at a university in a partner country. Students refine their research skills in new environments, gain cultural fluency, and expand their professional networks.
Starting in January 2018, applications for a Mitacs Globalink Research Award to the US, the UK, and the EU will be accepted. The Award will also be expanding to existing Mitacs partner countries Australia, Japan, Norway, and Saudi Arabia. This announcement builds on the success of the Globalink Research Award, which has supported 579 international research collaborations over the past four years.
