Vancouver, BC – Yesterday, Lois Mitchell was named as Alberta’s next Lieutenant Governor. Lois is a dedicated and recognized business person, volunteer, and a community leader in Alberta. Of her many roles, she has provided direction to Mitacs as a director since 2013.
In a federal news release, the Prime Minister describes Lois as “an exceptional Canadian who is well known for her leadership, dedication, and community spirit.” These qualities are demonstrated through a number of business and board positions.
Lois is a senior partner and founder of Rainmaker Global Business Development, a recognized international leader in consulting and marketing. In addition to her role with Mitacs, Lois also sits on the board of directors for UBS (Canada) and Canada World Youth, and is co-founder of the Global Business Forum.
