Vancouver, BC — Canadian companies will have the opportunity to recruit new talent by connecting with post-secondary students looking to start their careers through a pilot initiative called Mitacs Career Connect.
The initiative helps companies gain highly qualified talent to grow their business while providing work experience for recent graduates.
Interns must be under 30 years of age, a post-secondary graduate, and legally entitled to work in Canada. Eligible hiring organizations must support a green project in the science, technology, engineering, or math fields.
The pilot initiative is currently welcoming submissions until September 15, 2017, for six-month placements starting no later than October 1, 2017. Organizations in the natural resource sectors can submit projects until September 15, 2018.
