Mitacs joins Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance to collaborate on environmental performance

Calgary, AB — The newest associate member of Canada’s Oil Sands Innovation Alliance (COSIA) is Mitacs, a national, not-for-profit organization that brings together academia, industry and the public sector, to develop cutting edge tools and technologies vital to Canada’s knowledge-based economy.

Mitacs will collaborate with other members and support COSIA in its goal of environmental performance in Canada’s oil sands in four priority areas:

To date, COSIA members have shared 777 distinct technologies and innovations that cost over $950 million to develop. Through this sharing of innovation and application of new technologies, members can accelerate the pace of environmental performance improvements.
