FRQ renews its agreement with Mitacs to ensure success

Montréal, QC — Mitacs and the Fonds de recherche du Québec — Nature and technologies sector (FRQ) are renewing their partnership agreement to offer up-and-coming university-level researchers scholarships and paid research internships at a Quebec institution.

The programs offered through this partnership are as follows:

Valued at $6,000, this fellowship enables graduating undergraduates, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers from strategic clusters or networks financed by the Fonds de recherche du Québec — Nature et technologies sector to take part in an international exchange to carry out research projects lasting 12 to 24 weeks.

These 12-week internships enable international undergraduate students to carry out supervised research projects in the natural sciences, mathematics and engineering at a Quebec university.

Valued at $15,000, these fellowships enable former interns who have benefited from an undergraduate Globalink Research Internship at a Quebec institution to return and pursue graduate studies at a Quebec university. This program is intended to retain students with previous research experience in Quebec.
