Join us to learn about how the City of Toronto was able to engage with eight of Toronto’s higher education institutions (HEIs) and collaborate on research and development projects to support Toronto’s communities, economy and post-COVID-19 recovery efforts.
Through CivicLabTO, the city’s strategic initiative to create a more systemic approach to collaboration, and in partnership with eCampusOntario, the Toronto Collaboration Platform (TOCP) has facilitated more than 60 research projects, resulting in impactful programs, services and policy recommendations. Given its success, TOCP has become the model for a province-wide platform launching in 2023, facilitating collaboration between municipalities, HEIs and businesses across the province.
In this webinar, panelists will share thoughts on how the city was able to shape its innovation policy and develop strong relationships, connect with higher educations institutions, on how the initiative has evolved into a model of practice and has reinforced the city’s commitment and dedication to open collaboration, and how TOCP has led to an open collaboration platform across Ontario.
