Research and development are key to innovation. Mitacs-supported enterprises increased their R&D spending by 37 percent seven years after partnering with us. In the same period, companies that didn’t collaborate with Mitacs decreased theirs by 54 percent.
Mitacs-supported enterprises are creating jobs and growing their workforce. They experienced a steady increase of 18 percent in employment levels over seven years. Non-supported companies presented a downward trend, with a reduction of 5 percent of their workforce in the same period.
