Project Description:

There has been no significant scientific research conducted on the Ontario housing market. Having an insight about the market value, the important impactful parameters on the value, and the possible risks in the market can be beneficial both for the customers and the house and real estate developers. In this project, we are going to develop a statistical algorithm to valuate the housing market in Ontario using the existing open data.

Research Objectives:

  • Developing statistical algorithm for housing market valuation

Methodology:

  • Analyse the existing data, develop an algorithm using R or Python for market valuation, visualise the results using visualizing software such as Tableau

Expertise and Skills Needed:

    • Data analysis experience, strong programming skills
    • Expert working with R and/or Python
