Project Description:

The project will be within or in connection with a new workbench for 3D road design in CATIA developed by ScyForm. The areas referred require road modeling and related works such as railway tracks and pipelines. Note that the tool enables solid modeling from design to as-built through all the intermediate stages for accurate calculation of quantities at each stage. In doing so, it allows project and lifecycle management.

Research Objectives:

  • Enhance the experience, either by adding new functionality or by coupling the tool to other systems related to research in construction optimization. (Wiki: Lean Construction is a combination of operational research and practical development in design and building with an adaptation of lean manufacturing principles and practices to the design end-to-end process and building)

Methodology:

  • We favor virtual experiments taking advantage of the workbench to get accurate quantities.
